WEEKLY WORSHIP & PRAYER
We are a praying church. We are open during the week for prayer and worship on Tuesdays from 9am-1pm and Fridays from 8am-1pm with a mixture of live worship and the webstream from IHOPKC. On the 1st Wednesday night from 6pm-7:30pm we have our Burn Gathering. This time together is a great opportunity to go deeper together, exploring some of the things that we simply cannot cover on Sunday mornings due to limited time. To actually practice our core values. To LOVE one another. LIVE out our faith together. LEARN together. And to LAUNCH into the world together, obediently carrying with us the light and love that we’ve been called to share. During LAUNCH, we will worship, pray together, and intentionally pursue growth in the practical expression of what it means to follow Jesus, living a Spirit-filled life. (childcare provided for children 5 and under).
The vision of our children's ministry program is to cultivate an environment where children can encounter God and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. We want to sow into a generation that is captured by the love of Jesus and impacts the world and the people around them with that same love. When the children move up into the high school youth group, our goals for them are as follows:
to know and love the Word
to know how to love God the way He wants to be loved (ministry TO God, not just ministry FOR God)
to know that they are fiercely loved by God
know how to pray and intercede for others
know how to share the love of Jesus cleary through the gospel
have a heart for the lost and have the ANSWER for them!
love the church, Christ's bride, well
know how to listen to/walk with the Holy Spirit
are confident in operating in and around the gifts of the Holy Spirit and able to discern when the gifts are being used inappropriately
have a REAL relationship with Jesus...He talks to them and they CAN hear Him
We are admittedly "Plan B" when it comes to raising up children. We believe that a child's parents are "Plan A," and we desire to walk alongside them and support them as they disciple and train up their children.
We are located in a college town- JBU is right down the street. We want our college students to plug in to our church family and know how important their role is within the bride of Christ. Our homes (and dinner tables) are open and our college ministry is growing. We're excited for where the Lord is leading and how He is calling us to minister to and with college students.
Our Men's Ministry is made up of sons, brothers, husbands, fathers, grandfathers (and even some great grandfathers) who love Christ and have a passion to become the men and spiritual leader He wants us to be. We seek to inspire and encourage each other as we follow the greatest man, our Lord Jesus Christ.
Sozo Gateway is a regional ministry network which The Pointe supports and recommends. Sozo ministry is used for inner healing and prophetic deliverance based upon anointed forgiveness and divine revelation of God’s truth to an individual. The result is a new freedom which enables us to experience deeper relationship with the Lord (the First Commandment – Matt. 22:37) and to walk forth in our true identity. For more information or to schedule an appointment, please visit sozogateway.org or click here to be be taken to the Sozo Gateway website.
Our Youth Group is for 5th-8th grade students and meets on the 1st & 3rd Wednesdays of each month at 6:30pm.
The Pointe Youth exists to see young people love and connect with Jesus as their Savior and Lord. We aim to create a culture where youth can not only have tons of fun, but can learn who they are and acquire the skills necessary to form crucial relationships outside of their family unit. We also intend for them to be thoroughly discipled and brought up to cherish God's Word and the leading of the Holy Spirit.
The goal is to raise up healthy, empowered young men and women who leave home with the vision to impact their community- wherever they are sent or land.
Please remember to pray for us as you are led. These youth are the future ones who will be responsible for our families, our nation, and the out-working of God's Kindom to come!
One of the things we love the most about The Pointe is the wide range of ages in our church family, from teens to great-grandmas. This gives us lots of opportunities to share our lives together, seek friendship and advice, and help during life changes. We do this through women's get-togethers (Ladies Night Out), Prayer Groups (WOW: Women of War), Bible Studies, getting together over coffee, and even delivering a timely casserole. We pursue understanding God's calling on our lives, and His purposes in all we do. Email email@example.com for more information.
Home groups are a great way to connect with one another during the week. Currently, we have 2 home groups that are meeting regularly and are in the process of creating more. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
